LIV Bowls maintain their 4-point lead in the Copyshop Premier Pairs after their 2-set win over third place Villa Boys. Dumb and Dumber also had a 2-set win over Villans, while Officials were kept to single figures against Tee Pegs who took both sets. The win moved Tee Pegs up to 5th place above Northern Lights on chalk difference, the latter having had a close match with Blues Brothers which ended a set each.

Three teams achieved 30-plus chalks and maximum points in the Tuesday Morning League. Onchan Royals 37 chalks, KCS Sunshine Band 35, Ramsey Raiders with 31. Other winners Villans and Castletown Crofters also achieved high scores with 30 and 28 chalks respectively in 4-2 results. Despite all the points there is no change in the top four.

In the First Division Pairs J&S continued their good form keeping their 4-point lead after a 2-set win over TOU. Whilst their nearest rivals, 1 in 4 also had a 2-set win in a close match against US2. GGs started well with an 8-4 win in the first set, however third place Castletown Crofters hung on to their early lead in the second and the match ended a set apiece. TinJo and The Two Amigos managed a set each, both holding their positions in the table, Enigma got their first win when they took both sets from The Newby’s.

Despite keeping Ramsey Wallys to single figures in each set, Saltire could not stop Wallys from taking the 2-set win which keep them top of the Premier Triples. Moving up to second place thanks to a 2-set win over Villans, is Simple Minds. Also, moving up the table are Ramsey Raiders who took full points from Birdies and are now in third.

In the First Division Triples Bowlistics added another 4 valuable points to their total to keep top spot after their win over IBS. Optimists only gave away 1 chalk to Castletown Crofters in winning the first set, then Crofters rallied to take the second. This draw kept Crofters in 2nd place and moved Optimist up to 3rd. A good defensive match between Oddballs and Fab Fogies ended with the first set 3-4 to Fogies and the second set 6-5 to Oddballs.

Friday Afternoon Pairs League leaders, Top Dogs managed to keep their 3-point cushion over 2nd place Rejects when their match against The Bowling Stones finished a set each. The same result ended the match between Rejects and US, however Rejects gained 23 chalks which could be a deciding factor come the end is season. In the other matches, Tinker & Bell took the first set 5-8 from third place GGs, they also managed to get another point from a draw in the second. A leap up the CopyShop Indoor Bowls League for US

A dramatic change of fortune for US as they leapt up the table from bottom to fourth place after a 2-set win over The Bowling Stones.  In the rest of the Friday Afternoon Pairs League Top Dogs are 3 points clear of second place Rejects as both teams took all the points from their matches. In a close game Maxums and Watties took a set each, the chalks result ending 17-18 to Watties; and Crown Greeners and GGs shared the points with a set each.

Second place Simple Minds had a chance for top spot in the CopyShop Premier Pairs if they could take a 2-set win against LIV bowls. However, it was not be as they could only manage to get one point from a draw in the second set. Third placed Villa Boys could improve their position with a win but Officials took the first set. The Boys stepped up a gear to take the second set 11-2. In the other matches Tee Pegs and Dumb and Dumber took a set each; and in a tight match Villans took the first set 9-7, and Northern Lights the second 7-8. The win now puts Crofters ahead of US2. Another bunny-hop up the table for TinJo, as they took both sets from The Newby’s
