In the Tuesday Team League, with only two games remaining, Villans are so far ahead on points they can be declared League winners. KCS Sunshine Band look set for second place after winning two sets and drawing one against Northern Lights. Ramsey Raiders remain third, their hopes of finishing runners-up ended as Early Birds won all three sets in their match. As did Stand & Deliver and climb the table, while Wolves drew with Maxums.
Dragons remain top of the Copyshop Premier Pairs League after a 2-set win over Statler & Waldorf. The main threat to their title hopes could come from Simple Minds, who beat Villa Boys by two sets and sit just seven points behind with a game in hand. Lee Don are still in the fight after picking up 3 points from their match against Ayre Assassins. Green Machine and Douglas Old Boys also recorded wins.
The First Division Pairs League remains wide open with three games left. Leaders Castletown Crofters were held to a draw by Enigma. CC & Me and GGs shared the spoils, while 1-in-4 boosted their challenge with a two-set win over Atlas. Draws were also recorded between TOU and Yesterday’s News, and MisFits and Pin Pals.
With two games left in the Copyshop Wednesday Team League, Simple Minds on 67 points cannot be caught and are confirmed League winners. Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest took the win over Crown Greeners, while Villans took two sets from Dave’s Pride to keep the race for second tight. Saltire won two sets and drew one against Northern Lights, and Emerald Easers beat Dragons by two sets.
The Copyshop Triples League title race is very tight with three games to play. Bowlistics drew with Optimists. GGs move back into second after a two-set win over Northern Lights. Ever Hopefuls secured a 2-set victory, while Gutter Gang won one set and drew the other.
In the Afternoon Pairs League, with two games remaining, KT Sunshine Band have done enough to be crowned champions after beating Bowling Divas by two sets. CC & Me secured second place with a two-set win over Top Dogs.
In the First Division Singles League, Gary Merrill stretched his lead at the top of the table to five points clear of the chasing pack. There were also wins for Paul Routledge, Paul Meakin and Tony Lloyd-Davies as the division continues to take shape.
In the Premier Singles League, Wayne Roberts remains top of the standings, with Stuart Garrett holding on to second place. In other matches, Andy Dixon went down to John Kewley, while Mike Moyer secured a win over Win Kewley.
