Third place Villans had wins in the triples and pairs, with opponents Castletown Crofters taking the singles. Hillbillies also had wins in the triples and pairs, but Morganites secured 2 points from their singles win. A win in the triples and singles against The Bowling Stones was enough for KCS Sunshine Band to maintain fourth position, and the match between Maxums and Early Birds ended in a draw on points and chalks – 3 points 19 chalks apiece.

Teams in the First Division Pairs will play another match before their Christmas break. Leaders J&S took both sets from Douglas Old Boys securing a four-point cushion. Mid-way through the Indoor Bowling season at the NSC

Villans took both sets from 2nd place Simple Minds while Villa Boys (3rd) and Dumb and Dumber (4th) shared the points with a set each. Northern Lights moved up a place thanks to a 2-set win over Officials, as Tee Pegs dropped a place when Blues Brothers took both sets.

A win for Rejects against Tinker & Bell closed the gap to just 1 when leaders, Top Dogs, were held to a draw against Watties. Third place GGs didn’t increase their points as Maxums took both sets. A shake up in the rest of the league as the win by Maxums moves them to 4th. A set down and only managing to score 3 chalks CC and me looked down and out against an in-form US, but they managed turn the tables holding US to 3 chalks while accruing 20 chalks, moving CC up a place. The 2-set win by Bowling Stones over Crown Greeners moved them off bottom and dropped Greeners to 9th.

The return fixtures got under way this week in the Singles league with a change to the top of the table as the Garretts battle it out for prime position. That honour switches to Stuart with a 15-4 win over Paula. John Kewley is climbing steadily up the table after a win against Shirley Corrin. Also moving up a place is Win Kewley after taking her match against Gordon Corrin. Mike Ashmole and Mike Moyer are on equal points as Ashmole took the win over Moyer.
