Despite the stormy weather on Saturday, 21 bowlers turned out to compete for the Muriel Cain Memorial Trophy, with the event providing plenty of excitement and a closely fought finish.
At the end of play, two teams were tied on 14 points, meaning the winner had to be decided by a tie-break. Each player was given one bowl to determine the winning team, adding extra tension to an already competitive day.
Emerging as winners of the trophy were Neil Dunwell, Marcia Pearson and Dee Lewis, who were delighted to claim the title. The trophy was presented to the winning team by Association President Win Kewley, as pictured.
The event also raised £152 in donations for the MSPCA, providing a welcome boost for the charity.
Thanks go to everyone who braved the weather to take part and helped make the memorial competition such a success.
