Villans are run away leaders of the Copyshop Tuesday Team League

It was another busy and closely fought week across the Copyshop leagues, with several divisions seeing changes at the top and margins tightening throughout the tables.

Dragon moved clear at the top of the Premier Pairs League after a strong two-set win over the Villa Boys. Ayre Assassins held Simple Minds to a draw—enough for Minds to retain second place. Lee Don came close to maximum points but were held level in the second set by Villans. Meanwhile, Statler & Waldorf shared the points with Green Machine, as did J & A and Douglas Old Boys in their encounter.

Villans continue to dominate the Tuesday Team League now seven points clear at the top after another maximum-points performance. Ramsey Raiders remain in second place thanks to victories in the triples and singles, though they missed out in the doubles. A much-needed win for KCS Sunshine Band lifts them into third position. Castletown Crofters took both the triples and singles but were edged out in the doubles by Early Birds. The Wolves also climb in the standings, narrowing the gap to the leaders following their latest win.

Only three points separate the top five teams in the First Division Pairs in what is proving to be one of the tightest contests of the season. Castletown Crofters remain at the summit on 21 points after drawing their match with 1-in-4. Sitting second, on chalk difference, are CC & Me following their two-set victory. TOU rise to third with 19 points after taking both sets against Pin Pals, while Atlas keeps the pressure on with another win, moving to 18 points.

There was no movement at the top, as Crown Greeners and Simple Minds both secured four points from their matches to remain first and second respectively. Villans jump into third after their win over Emerald Easers, and Saltire rise to fifth thanks to an important win that strengthens their mid-table position.

Optimists have surrendered top spot after losing a set and being held to a draw by GGs, who now lead the league. Bowlistics climb to second following their latest victory, while Gutter Gang and IBS also enjoyed wins to keep the middle of the table tightly contested.

Sunshine Band stay firmly in control at the top after taking both sets in their match, with CC & Me four points behind in second. The Weather Girls continue their steady climb, now up to third, and Top Dogs’ win over Crown Greeners moves them into fourth as the battle for the chasing positions intensifies.

In the First Division Singles, the competition could not be closer. Three players—Gary Meril, Nicola Whiting, and Anita Roberts—remain locked on the same points after all winning their matches this week. Only chalk difference separates them, with Meril in first, Whiting second, and Roberts third.

In the Premier Singles, Stuart Garrett maintains his lead at the top of the standings, with Paula Garrett holding second place as the season heads toward its decisive phase.
