Monday 22nd January sees the opening round of the 2018 national indoor bowling championships for the Ladies’ and Men’s singles.

Defending Men’s champion, Mark McGreal, playing in the bottom half of the draw, opens his account on Tuesday evening against his father Clive, a former Welsh counties player, whilst last year’s finalist Tony Dugdale, starts on Monday evening against Martin Paterson, a former pairs champion, making his welcome return to the Island’s indoor scene.

The Ladies are playing on Wednesday evening with defending champion, Muriel Cain, up against Janice Pilling the current outdoor lawn bowls top lady and last year’s runner up Paula Garrett opens her account against the very experienced campaigner, Win Collister.

PLAY COMMENCES EACH EVENING FROM 6.30 PM PROMPT

Players should report in 20 minutes before allotted times – there will be a draw for rinks
